The Hospitality Service Support position at Hooters is integral to maintaining this high standard of service and operational excellence. This role is designed to support various aspects of the restaurant experience, including hosting guests, handling to-go orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. As a Hospitality Service Support team member, you will be cross-trained in three key areas: host responsibilities, to-go order management, and staff support tasks.
In the host capacity, you will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This requires a friendly, energetic, and personal approach to greeting and seating guests efficiently. You will be responsible for managing the flow of seating in a way that balances the workload of the servers and ensures every guest receives attentive service. The host role also involves assisting a variety of guest groups from families with children to business clients, and requires up-to-date knowledge of the menu to answer customer inquiries. In addition, you may handle the sale of merchandise, enhancing the customer experience and driving additional revenue.
Handling the to-go role requires competence in managing orders placed via phone, apps, online platforms, and walk-in customers. This position emphasizes accuracy, speed, and suggestive selling skills to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction for take-out and delivery orders. The ability to process payments correctly and provide knowledge on current menu items and specials is essential.
Staff duties encompass maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant, including high-traffic areas such as parking lots, restrooms, front-of-house areas, and wait stations. This role also involves stocking products, assisting with bar area maintenance if applicable, and possibly performing food runner tasks. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently are crucial to supporting a smooth operation.
