This full-time salaried position with benefits reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and Hospitality. The Hospitality Foodservice Manager / Chef role is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary leader to launch and manage two critical foodservice initiatives within Rhinegeist Brewery: a new pizza kitchen and a full-service catering program. This role involves end-to-end responsibility from concept development, menu design, and vendor relations to construction oversight and daily operational management. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of culinary creativity and operational expertise to build a profitable and appealing food program from scratch. Key responsibilities include hiring and leading a dedicated foodservice team, establishing standard operating procedures, managing schedules, and collaborating with internal teams such as taproom staff, events, architects, and accountants to ensure seamless integration and success.
This role demands a hands-on leader passionate about developing delicious and profitable food offerings with broad customer appeal. The candidate will spearhead the pizza kitchen launch by designing an efficient space layout, creating an easy-to-execute and high-margin menu, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring quality service standards. Additionally, the candidate will build and manage the catering program in partnership with the events team, crafting versatile menu options suitable for various event types. Daily operations, staff training, and financial management are essential to driving the success of both programs. Ideal candidates should have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to the dynamic hospitality environment. Working weekends and evenings is a requirement, reflecting the operational needs of hospitality services.
