The Pest Control Technician role is a vital position within the company, primarily focusing on delivering industry-leading pest management services to residential customers. The role involves inspecting client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damages, and entry points, followed by applying approved pest control methods such as pesticides, chemical treatments, baits, and traps to effectively eliminate pests. Technicians are also responsible for educating customers about pest prevention techniques and advising them on how to maintain a pest-free environment. This position requires strong communication skills as technicians build and maintain customer relationships, schedule appointments, provide sales assistance, and promote the company’s products and services to new and existing clients. Compliance with safety protocols, proper equipment maintenance, and adherence to federal, state, and local pest control regulations are also key components of the role. The job entails working in challenging environments such as tight spaces, exposure to animals, insects, and chemicals, and physical activities including climbing, stooping, and crawling. The company provides training on handling these conditions safely, along with personal protective equipment such as OSHA-compliant respirators. This position requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, driving a company vehicle and supporting overall pest control operations effectively.
