The position available is a part-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category at the Gaylord Texan Resort. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive and proactive service. Unlike standard server duties, the role involves creating an immersive dining experience where food and beverage service is complemented by an inviting and hospitable atmosphere. Individuals in this role, known as Guest Service Experts, are responsible for various tasks that contribute to a seamless operation and an enjoyable guest experience. These include setting tables, assisting in the kitchen, cleaning work areas, and restocking supplies. The position requires flexibility and a hands-on approach to supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house functions. Despite being a non-management role, there are essential professional expectations such as creating a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining quality standards, and presenting a professional image through uniform and personal grooming. The physical demands of the job are notable, requiring stamina and agility. The Guest Service Experts must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces. They must also be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, reaching high places, bending, twisting, stretching, and stooping.
