The Driver role at Strategix is essential for the smooth and safe operation of transportation services for program participants and staff. This full-time position entails providing reliable transportation for a variety of activities related to training, recreation, and wellness programs, contributing significantly to the participants' overall experience and success. The driver is responsible for pick-up and drop-off of program participants and packages, operating a range of vehicles including passenger vans, buses, cars, trucks, and cargo vehicles, and may also use government service administration (GSA) vehicles. This role requires maintaining an organized travel schedule, adhering to safety and security protocols, and ensuring vehicles are clean and well-maintained through scheduled routine maintenance and repairs. The driver will utilize navigation tools to optimize routes, taking into account factors like weather, traffic, and construction. Strict adherence to documentation and reporting requirements is expected to comply with Department of Labor, corporate, and center guidelines. Additionally, the driver participates in regular staff meetings and mandatory training, as well as handling sensitive student data with utmost confidentiality in accordance with Job Corps and Strategix policies. This position demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a professional attitude toward customer service for program participants, staff, and visitors alike. The physical aspects of the role include sitting, standing, walking, operating various equipment, and occasionally lifting items up to 25 pounds. Work is conducted in variable weather conditions and may involve exposure to noise and changing air quality levels.
