The Head Pastry Chef position at Boca Woods Country Club is a crucial leadership role within the club’s culinary team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Head Pastry Chef is responsible for all pastry and dessert production for the dining rooms and various club functions. This is a full-time, experienced-level role that demands creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of pastry arts within a high-volume, quality-oriented kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading and training pastry teams, developing innovative menus, managing inventory and cost control, and ensuring high standards of sanitation and food safety are consistently met. In this role, the Head Pastry Chef collaborates closely with the Executive Chef and the entire culinary team to align the pastry offerings with the club’s food philosophy and elevate the overall member dining experience. The position requires not only technical expertise in baking and pastry production but also strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee the daily operations of the bake shop. The Head Pastry Chef will be responsible for approving product requisitions, minimizing waste and theft through effective controls, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. This position also involves menu development, recipe innovation, and suggesting alternative baking methods to keep the offerings fresh and exciting.
