Responsibilities include monitoring cash register supplies, scheduling and overseeing breaks in compliance with company and state policies, assisting with customer issues at the register, and maintaining cleanliness and security in the store's exit areas. Additionally, the Head Cashier helps with recruiting, hiring, and training new cashiers, serving as a role model in behavior and customer interaction, and taking necessary disciplinary actions when required. This role requires someone who enjoys providing outstanding customer service and can adapt to the changing needs of a busy retail environment. The position offers a competitive pay range of $16.70 to $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. • Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
• Ability to operate front end equipment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
• Ability to perform repetitious activities
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to move grocery carts with force up to 35 lbs.
