They are responsible for ensuring that all dishes and cookware are immaculately cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use by the culinary and service teams. This role requires diligence and attention to detail as it involves the preparation, washing, drying, and organizing of dishware, silverware, and glassware. In addition to dishwashing duties, employees in this role also manage the collection and disposal of kitchen and dining area waste, maintain cleanliness of dishwashing equipment and kitchen floors, and assist in preserving the overall tidiness of the working environment. The role also involves checking and maintaining dishwashing machinery, ensuring the proper supply of soaps and detergents, and scrubbing heavily soiled items as necessary. Dishwashers report directly to the Chef and work closely with the entire kitchen team to support timely and efficient meal service.
