The Pilot in Command role at Warner Bros. Discovery is an essential leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flight operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, this role embodies the highest standards of aviation safety, security, and quality. The pilot in command exercises full authority over flights and has the ultimate responsibility for their safe completion. This position demands precision, advanced flying skills, and the ability to make critical operational decisions such as determining departure times, flight routes, and whether conditions require flight cancellation. The selected candidate will oversee compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations and collaborate closely with second in command to maintain seamless flight operations. Key responsibilities include monitoring aircraft systems and maintenance logs, managing crew fitness and readiness, conducting passenger safety briefings, and filing necessary documentation such as flight plans. Additionally, the pilot in command acts as a TSA Flight Security Coordinator and actively promotes a culture of safety through the company’s Safety Management System (SMS). The role requires extensive qualifications including an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a GVl Type Rating Certificate, a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, and significant flight experience including a minimum of 5,000 total fixed-wing hours and 2,000 hours as pilot-in-command. Experience in corporate aviation and the ability to work flexible schedules and travel extensively worldwide are fundamental. The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,950 to $310,050 per year, along with additional incentives such as bonuses and awards. Warner Bros.
