The role of Grill Cook at Guest Services, Inc. involves preparing, cooking, and serving food items on the grill, working in coordination with the Executive Chef to manage daily and special function menus. This position is hourly, with compensation set at $16.00 per hour. The Grill Cook is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the grill station by setting up, restocking, and breaking down grill equipment, producing meal items and daily specials, and maintaining high food quality and safety standards. This role demands attention to detail in following recipes and product directions, seasoning and cooking meats and vegetables, and operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
In addition to food preparation, the Grill Cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the grill area, including the cleaning of equipment and utensils and managing temperature logs. The position requires a strong focus on food safety and waste management practices to minimize excess food production and adhere to sanitation standards. Physical demands include standing for lengthy periods, lifting and carrying moderate weights, and working in varying temperature environments such as freezers and grills. Effective communication with team members in a fast-paced kitchen environment is also a critical component of the role.
