The Hampton Inn Carolina Beach is currently seeking Guest Service Representatives to join their dynamic team full time with a mix of 1st (7 am to 3 pm) and 2nd (3 pm to 11 pm) shifts available, including weekends. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing guests' first impressions and overall satisfaction by offering top-notch, courteous, and professional service. With an hourly pay rate ranging between $14 and $15 based on experience, the role also provides additional benefits such as a quarterly bonus plan, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and the convenient option to be paid daily through DailyPay. 
In this role, Guest Service Representatives are responsible for maintaining LBA standards of friendly hospitality while strictly following established guidelines and procedures. They are expected to professionally execute sales strategies aimed at boosting hotel revenue by promoting services and amenities to guests. This is a fast-paced position requiring multitasking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assist with various guest inquiries, including shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Representatives will be knowledgeable about the hotel’s operations, frequent stay programs, reservations processes, and emergency procedures. 
Honesty and trustworthiness are fundamental traits for this position, as it involves access to guestrooms and property. Security clearance is required, ensuring that team members uphold the highest standards of integrity. The role demands physical capabilities, such as standing for eight hours, lifting up to 30 pounds, and pushing or pulling up to 60 pounds, along with strong interpersonal skills to ensure a positive guest experience. The candidate must be fluent in English, with additional language skills considered a bonus. Professionalism is a non-negotiable component of the position, necessitating courteous and hospitable interactions at all times.
Beyond front desk responsibilities, Guest Service Representatives are expected to assist in other areas such as food and beverage services and maintaining the property's cleanliness. They help sustain a clean and inviting lobby and dining area by performing duties like dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning tables. The job also includes administrative tasks such as handling billing, processing payments, verifying credit card validity, and balancing cash drawers at shift’s end. Being able to quickly learn and utilize the property management system (PMS) is essential for managing reservations and guest accounts efficiently.
The position offers room for growth with opportunities to advance into leadership roles such as Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Guest Services Manager (GSM) after further training and skill development.
