The Group Sales Manager role at Four Seasons Houston plays a pivotal part in the Sales and Commercial team by promoting and selling group market rooms primarily within the Southwest region, Latin America, Embassy channels, and International Consulates. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the role requires direct outreach through phone and in-person sales calls, tradeshow participation, and networking to generate and secure group business. This role is focused on creating awareness, soliciting group bookings, and negotiating contracts to meet and exceed revenue goals while nurturing key strategic vertical accounts. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, possess excellent communication and organization skills, and demonstrate impeccable attention to detail. A high level of independent judgment and discretion is necessary to make decisions that support hotel objectives. This role demands multitasking capabilities, flexibility to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel. Teamwork and adaptability are valued, with the candidate expected to embrace technology for efficient sales operations. As a Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for handling groups of 10 rooms or more per night. You will identify and target group customers aligned with the property’s goals, negotiate and finalize contracts, and collaborate closely with hotel departments to coordinate billing, food and beverage arrangements, and guest services. Adjusting pricing strategies and recommending concessions will be part of the job to secure and maximize group business revenue. Utilizing company-wide sales programs, prospecting projects, and customer events will be essential methods to grow the group segment. Frequent site inspections and client meetings will enable you to understand customer needs, propose solutions, and develop long-term relationships.
