The role Greystar is currently offering targets community maintenance with a focus on ensuring that the physical environment of residential properties meets high standards. This position is critical in maintaining the overall aesthetic appeal and functional integrity of the community environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting grounds and amenities daily to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, thus ensuring that all common areas remain clean and inviting. This is essential in upholding the curb appeal that Greystar communities are known for, helping to deliver a superior living experience for residents. Additional duties involve removing trash and any remaining items from vacant apartments before the make-ready process, ensuring that storage areas are maintained properly, and completing assigned minor service requests to support the service team. Responsibilities also include changing locks according to property policies, checking safety gates around pool areas, distributing resident communications, and reporting hazards to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. The role demands a strong customer service orientation to interact respectfully with residents and respond promptly to their maintenance concerns, fostering a community atmosphere built on trust and responsiveness. Physical demands for this role require the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, stand, walk, bend, climb, and occasionally lift or maneuver moderate weights. Flexibility is key, as the role may require working evenings, weekends, holidays, and being on call. Being proactive about safety by participating in safety meetings, completing OSHA and other mandated training, and promptly reporting incidents is also a fundamental aspect of the position.
