This position is for a Service Technician role primarily focused on technical and mechanical maintenance work within a midrise, stabilized property comprising 367 units. The role is integral to maintaining the property’s overall functionality, cleanliness, appearance, and safety according to Greystar’s standards. The Service Technician is responsible for handling resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and managing the “make-ready” process to prepare apartments for new tenants. This involves conducting inspections, creating work orders, scheduling contractors, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed effectively. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with a rotating on-call requirement, reflecting the need for flexible availability. The role also requires physical endurance to handle various manual tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in diverse weather conditions.
Besides the hands-on maintenance tasks, the Service Technician plays an important part in cost control by repairing parts when possible, managing inventory efficiently, and adhering strictly to safety protocols. Regular interaction with contractors and property management is essential to ensure quality and timely completion of work throughout the property. The property type being a midrise with 367 units offers a dynamic work environment that demands multitasking and prioritizing various maintenance responsibilities consistently to uphold tenant satisfaction and property value.
The hourly compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $18.00, with additional bonus programs available based on performance at both the individual and company levels. Certified Service Technicians are required to hold EPA certifications for refrigerant recycling and other applicable licenses per state and local requirements.
