The role of General Warehouse Worker/Associate at ReaderLink is essential for maintaining smooth operations across various facets of the distribution center. This position is based on the 2nd shift, running from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday through Friday, offering a base pay of $19.50 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential, totaling $21.00 per hour. The individual hired will be expected to undertake a range of responsibilities that contribute to the overall productivity and safety of the warehouse environment.
This role demands attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and proficiency with electronic devices like tablets, radios, and scanners. Workers are expected to engage with Warehouse Management Systems and voice-directed picking technologies to efficiently process inbound and outbound shipments. The position also requires the worker to move materials between production areas, loading docks, and storage using manual pallet jacks or by hand. General housekeeping duties and communication with internal customers and management are also critical components of the role.
Safety is paramount, and the General Warehouse Worker/Associate will adhere strictly to all safety regulations, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions. The job necessitates the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and sometimes up to 75 pounds, along with pushing and pulling loads. Flexibility and dependability are vital traits, as the worker may be assigned to different stations or assist with other production facets based on operational demands.
