The role available is that of a Restaurant Manager at Sante, a directional dining establishment within the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, situated in the picturesque Sonoma Valley. This restaurant embraces French-inspired menus prepared simply with fresh, locally sourced ingredients highlighting the culinary talents of Sonoma’s local ranchers, bakers, and farmers. The Restaurant Manager will lead the front-of-house operations for both Sante's dinner service and the 38 North Lobby Bar, driving operational excellence and curating an exceptional dining experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage Operations, this individual will play a pivotal role in positioning Sante as a premier dining destination in Sonoma County’s renowned wine country.
Key responsibilities include managing daily restaurant operations, spearheading strategic initiatives to evolve Sante’s brand identity, and implementing creative strategies to increase revenue and improve profit margins. The successful candidate will lead by example, supporting staff through peak periods and fostering a culture of passion, accountability, and high standards. Managing the financial aspects such as forecasting, payroll, and cost control is essential for sustained profitability. Additionally, the manager will collaborate closely with culinary leadership to integrate service and menu offerings seamlessly and work with Sales & Marketing to schedule events and promotions that align with business goals.
The role also encompasses a broad leadership mandate, requiring the Restaurant Manager to inspire and develop a dedicated team, maintain brand standards with the utmost quality and visual appeal, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Cross-functional collaboration and adherence to health and safety protocols, along with a focus on continuous improvement driven by guest feedback and team engagement, are equally critical. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $95,000, with additional benefits such as healthcare plans starting after 30 days, employee discounts, retirement plans, and opportunities for career advancement. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of leadership experience in upscale or fine dining environments, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and demonstrate excellent communication and financial management skills. Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays, is required to meet business needs.

- Bachelor's degree in hospitality business management or related field preferred
