The role of Hotel General Manager at Ivy Hospitality is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a select service and extended stay hotel. This role is ideal for a hands-on, collaborative leader who is passionate about driving guest satisfaction, financial success, and team engagement. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, the Hotel General Manager will lead various departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, where applicable. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with both brand and company policies, manage financial performance such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, and implement innovative cost-saving strategies. Integral to this role is the ability to mentor and develop a diverse team, including Assistant General Managers, Executive Housekeepers, Maintenance Technicians, and F&B staff, creating an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include maintaining exceptional guest service standards, resolving guest issues promptly, monitoring feedback for continuous improvement, and collaborating with sales and revenue leaders to maximize hotel occupancy and revenue. The General Manager will actively engage in local market sales and community events to enhance the hotel's brand presence and market share. Additionally, this role requires meticulous attention to regulatory compliance across local, state, and federal laws, along with the enforcement of health and safety protocols to safeguard guests and staff.
