The General Manager role at Checkers & Rally's is a vital position within the Corporate Field Operations team, tasked with overseeing the overall management and profitability of the restaurant. This position is responsible for executing strategic plans to meet sales and profit goals while maintaining exceptional Guest and Team service standards. The manager plays an essential role in ensuring the restaurant is the first choice for Guests and a rewarding and enjoyable workplace for employees. A General Manager at Checkers & Rally’s will manage all aspects of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, analyze sales and operational data, and develop actionable plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
This leadership role encompasses directing staffing efforts by identifying hiring needs and selecting suitable candidates to build a strong team. Ensuring that shifts are adequately staffed to meet operational demands and maintain consistent Guest satisfaction is a top priority. Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for the onboarding and continuous training of Team Members and Managers on policies, procedures, and customer service expectations. The position requires a proactive approach to resolving complaints, managing adherence to company policies, and providing consistent feedback and performance coaching to the team.
The General Manager also has the critical duty of upholding a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for both employees and Guests, contributing to a positive dining experience and team morale. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Food safety certified preferred
- Over 2 years restaurant management experience, preferably in Quick Service Restaurants
- Basic math skills
- Microsoft Office and general systems experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule and extended hours
