The role of Shuttle Driver at ABM is a frontline position ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience, as no prior experience or formal education is required and on-the-job training is provided. This role is responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from assigned locations which may include airports, commercial buildings, hospitals, sports arenas, entertainment venues, educational facilities, or warehouses. The position pays $23.00 per hour, with the actual offer potentially varying based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Responsibilities include operating shuttle vehicles safely, assisting passengers with loading and unloading luggage, and managing passengers with special needs by operating specialized equipment like wheelchair lifts and tie-downs. Shuttle drivers conduct routine inspections of their vehicles to identify any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs and maintain a clean and sanitized environment by disinfecting the shuttle after each use. They are expected to provide excellent customer service, respond courteously to guest inquiries, give directions when necessary, and enforce bus evacuation plans. Additionally, drivers are responsible for reporting any incidents immediately, maintaining fuel logs, and complying with all Department of Transportation standards. This role may require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with specific class and endorsements based on the contractual needs. A prior year of experience as a passenger shuttle driver is preferred but not mandatory.
