This position is a Cook role based at one of CoralTree's distinguished properties, such as the Terranea Resort, where the emphasis is on excellence in food production, presentation, and guest service. The role is full-time and offers a competitive starting pay rate of $23.55 per hour. This cook position involves planning, preparing, setting up, and providing high-quality food service across various outlets within the hotel. The cook will work closely with chefs and the kitchen team to ensure that all menu items and daily specials meet the hotel's stringent plating guide specifications and quality standards.
The position requires a comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations, including maintaining sanitation and cleanliness, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, and effectively managing workstations. The cook will be responsible for preparing desserts, banquet centerpieces, room service amenity orders, and contributing to menu item preparation while minimizing waste and food costs. Guest satisfaction is paramount, requiring that the cook anticipate guests’ needs, communicate clearly, and maintain positive relations.
Additionally, this role calls for collaboration with other kitchen staff, including Bakers and Stewards, to maintain an efficient and sanitary kitchen environment.
