This job opportunity is for the role of Food Service Supervisor at the Harnett County Detention Center, a correctional facility where the supervisory responsibilities focus not only on managing food service operations but also on overseeing inmate labor. This part-time position requires working early morning shifts from 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM, five days a week, including some weekends. The role pays $16.00 per hour and includes the possibility of earning a $250 bonus upon successful completion of the Rookie’s Fast Track Program within the first 60 days. Employees also benefit from DailyPay, allowing immediate access to earned wages.
As a Food Service Supervisor at TSG in this correctional setting, your primary responsibility will be to manage and supervise the preparation and serving of food according to established menus and safety standards while ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations. Your duties extend to guiding and instructing inmate labor and team members in food prep activities, ensuring timely and efficient meal service. The role involves utilizing various kitchen utensils and food preparation equipment, maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment, and encouraging safety for both staff and inmates. You will play an important role in training other food service workers, maintaining proper food storage, and adhering to all facility policies.
