The role of Operations Associate at The Rinks is crucial for maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational efficiency that guests expect. This position is hourly, starting at $19.50 per hour, and involves a diverse range of tasks that ensure the smooth running of the rink facilities. The Operations Associate performs daily activities essential to the rink's operation, whether ice or inline rinks, including customer service, cash handling, skate guarding during public sessions, and more. In this role, associates may be assigned to various skill areas such as Front Desk/Reception, Skate Counter, Snack Bar, Skate Guard, Scorekeeper, or Party Host. Each area requires a unique blend of communication skills, operational knowledge, and guest interaction capabilities. For example, associates handling reception duties will be expected to operate point of sale systems skillfully and greet guests cheerfully. Those managing the skate counter need to assist guests with skate selection and maintenance. Snack Bar associates demonstrate proficiency with food preparation and cash handling, while Skate Guards ensure safety on the rink and maintain vigilant monitoring of skaters. Scorekeepers are responsible for tracking game scores accurately, and Party Hosts manage event setups and provide attentive customer service during parties. Beyond these specific duties, all associates are expected to deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly and accurately to guest inquiries, communicating safety concerns, adhering to first aid and emergency protocols, and maintaining housekeeping standards throughout the facility. Commitment to teamwork, communication, and a professional demeanor is paramount. The role may also involve clerical work, participation in maintenance projects, and support for special events and tournaments hosted at The Rinks. Candidates suitable for this role are typically individuals who are at least 16 years old, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and service-minded.
