We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of our high-energy, high-volume cafe. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, promoting a great work-life balance. The Executive Chef role is pivotal in overseeing all daily kitchen operations, managing a dedicated team of culinary professionals, and ensuring every meal prepared meets high standards of quality and creativity. The ideal candidate will bring refined culinary expertise, honed through at least four years of cooking experience and at least two years in a management role, to deliver innovative, from-scratch meals in large batches suitable for a bustling dining environment. This position offers a competitive salary in the $110,000 to $120,000 range and benefits that include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, paid time off, parental leave, and disability coverage.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for maintaining culinary excellence by ensuring adherence to proper techniques and standards related to food production, presentation, and service. They will cultivate a motivated team by coaching, training, and recognizing talent among chef managers and hourly staff, fostering ongoing professional development and a shared commitment to quality. The candidate will lead daily meetings to keep communication clear and ensure operational objectives are met efficiently, including meeting labor and food cost targets while focusing on margin improvement.
