The Front of House (FOH) Manager plays a crucial leadership role at Jalapeo Tree, overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure the highest standards of guest service, bar performance, cleanliness, and staff management. This position requires a passionate and experienced hospitality leader who can effectively coach and inspire the front-of-house team. The manager is responsible for scheduling, staff training, guest interaction, and maintaining product quality - all while upholding safety and health compliance. A key function of the role is managing the bar and beverage cost controls, which directly impact the profitability and operational efficiency of the restaurant. FOH Managers also act as shift leaders, driving team performance and delivering a consistent, positive dining experience that reflects Jalapeo Tree's brand promise. This role offers new managers initial training at the company headquarters in Tyler, Texas, after which they transition to their assigned store to lead and support the front-of-house team. Ideal candidates will have prior management experience in a full-service restaurant, a strong background in people leadership, and excellent communication skills. This position demands flexibility and stamina, with work schedules typically including weekends and holidays, totaling about 50 to 55 hours per week. • Minimum 2 years of experience as FOH manager or assistant manager in a full-service restaurant
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license
• Able to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to move quickly, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to varying temperatures including kitchen, freezer, and bar areas
• Frequent handwashing and repetitive motion
• Ability to read, write, and operate computer and telephone
• Willingness to work 50 to 55 hours per week including weekends and holidays
