This position is for a Receptionist, who acts as the face of the store, responsible for greeting customers warmly upon arrival and ensuring a smooth operational flow within the store. The Receptionist manages various administrative tasks such as maintaining organized patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling communications both in person and over the phone. Working in concert with the team, Receptionists play a pivotal role in helping maintain order and efficiency so that customers receive prompt and courteous service. The role offers the unique perk of having Sundays off, as the stores are closed on that day, promoting a better work-life balance.
Receptionists ensure that customer service is consistently high while adhering to safety protocols. They manage the customer flow efficiently during busy hours and are proficient in handling phone communications by answering, screening, and forwarding calls appropriately according to National Vision protocols. They also navigate managed care plans and insurance documentation, assisting customers with basic solutions and information. Responsiveness to inquiries about appointment scheduling, order status, and follow-up visits is essential. Attention to detail in filing patient records daily and maintaining a tidy, presentable reception area is part of their daily routine. Additional responsibilities include sorting mail and maintaining office supply inventory. This role requires participation in scheduled mandatory communication meetings, ensuring that the Receptionist stays informed and engaged with the team and company updates.
The ideal candidate should possess strong customer service and organizational skills, with preferred experience in similar roles such as Receptionist or Front Office Representative. Candidates with up to two years of relevant experience and those comfortable handling multiple phone lines are preferred but not essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
