The Front Desk Receptionist position at CPC’s Woodley Park, Washington, DC office is a vital role within the Front Office Administration department. This full-time, non-exempt role is in-person and requires working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The receptionist ensures a positive patient experience by managing incoming communications, greeting visitors warmly, and supporting the smooth daily operations of the clinic. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, friendly, and committed to exceptional customer service.
The receptionist is responsible for handling multi-line phone systems to route calls efficiently, checking patients in and out, accurately entering insurance and patient information into electronic health records, and collecting copays, balances, and deductibles. They also assist with patient flow coordination alongside medical assistants, provide general directions and information to patients and visitors, maintain visitor logs and access passes, update appointment calendars and scheduling systems, manage incoming mail and faxes, and oversee office supplies inventory. Verifying insurance eligibility for the patient’s date of service is a critical administrative responsibility, as is assisting with various other duties as assigned. 
Successful candidates will have strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems. They must be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining organization and accuracy. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods, occasional walking and standing, and the capacity to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds.
CPC requires all employees to complete medical clearance requirements, including documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination, Pneumococcal screening, and Tuberculosis screening, with exceptions accommodated for approved medical or religious reasons.
