The Freight Forwarder - Ocean Import position at DSV, located in Charlotte, USA, within the Air & Sea division, offers a full-time employment opportunity. This role plays a critical part in managing and processing shipment transactions related to major accounts and is essential in delivering excellent, proactive, and timely customer service. The Freight Forwarder acts as the primary contact for all parties concerning assigned account contracts and must perform all duties correctly, cost-effectively, and according to company standards by exercising discretion and independent judgment.
Key responsibilities include managing high-volume complex import and export transactions, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations, facilitating communication between clients and various departments, creating shipment quotations, monitoring shipment documentation, and resolving client concerns proactively. This role requires expertise in handling shipments, especially hazardous materials, and thorough knowledge of geographic locations and shipping processes. The position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work well under pressure.
Compensation for this position ranges from $21.75 to $29.50 per hour, based on factors such as knowledge, location, experience, and other business considerations.                 - Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact
