The Air Export Gateway Freight Forwarder role at DSV is a pivotal position focused on managing and coordinating the exportation of goods transported by air directly from the gateway facility located in Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Grapevine, Texas. This is a full-time position encompassing a broad range of responsibilities from booking cargo space to preparing all necessary export documents and ensuring smooth, timely shipments to international destinations. Successful candidates will be responsible for the entire export process including compliance with export regulations, customs clearance, documentation accuracy, and maintaining seamless communication with clients and stakeholders. As the primary contact for clients, the Freight Forwarder must provide up-to-date shipment status, promptly address inquiries or concerns, and collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, ground handlers, and other service providers to resolve operational issues. This role demands strong expertise in air freight operations, international trade regulations, and customs procedures as well as proficiency in freight forwarding software such as CargoWise and CHAMP Cargosystems. The position offers an hourly wage in the range of $22.25 to $30.25, depending on various factors including experience and skill level. Certifications from organizations like IATA or FIATA and experience handling perishable or hazardous goods within air freight will be considered an advantage. • Bachelor's degree in logistics supply chain management international business or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding air export operations or international logistics with specific experience in air freight preferred
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations international trade regulations and customs procedures
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and systems such as CargoWise and CHAMP Cargosystems
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Fluent in English oral and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word Excel and Outlook
