Currently, Occasions Caterers is hiring immediately for on-call Food Transporter/Delivery Driver positions. These roles are based at their location at 655 Taylor Street Northeast, Washington, DC. The positions offer an on-call schedule that may vary from Monday through Sunday, providing flexible working hours that will be discussed further during the interview process. The pay range for these roles is between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour. Employees may also become eligible for commission as part of their compensation. The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver plays a critical role in the operational success of Occasions Caterers by ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation of food, supplies, and other products to various service units and delivery sites. This professional role requires a skilled driver experienced particularly with box trucks, and the company mandates at least two years of prior box truck driving experience. The driver is responsible not only for safely operating company vehicles in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations but also for maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle and conducting routine truck maintenance. The role involves loading and unloading orders, carefully handling food and supplies while adhering to strict sanitation and safety guidelines, and verifying the inventory and condition of all shipments. Additionally, the driver provides excellent customer service and interacts with coworkers to ensure that service standards meet the company’s high expectations.
