The role of Food Service Executive Chef at Taylors-International Services is a pivotal position based OCONUS, contingent upon contract award. This full-time, onsite role demands a seasoned culinary professional to oversee all food service operations at specific international locations. The Executive Chef will manage the kitchen, storage, and dining areas, spearheading menu planning, food preparation, and supply management to ensure a seamless dining experience. This role requires strategic oversight of food safety standards, cost controls, and team leadership, ensuring that the food service operation adheres to company policies and regulatory requirements. In this leadership role, the Executive Chef will design and implement menus that not only meet customer expectations but also reflect innovative culinary trends and high-quality standards. With a focus on cafeteria-style or multi-entree food service environments, the chef will prepare main dishes and supervise the preparation of side dishes and garnishments for all shifts. This role involves managing labor and food costs effectively to maintain profitability without compromising quality. The Executive Chef will direct staff operations and foster a high-performance team culture by guiding, training, and mentoring food service personnel. Working at Taylors demands the ability to operate in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress kitchen environment requiring active problem-solving and creativity. The Executive Chef must maintain rigorous Serve-Safe standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. An active Secret security clearance is mandatory, and the ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph evaluation may be required depending on assignment.
