The role of Food Runner/Expo at Din Tai Fung’s Portland location is pivotal in contributing to the first-class dining experience that the restaurant is known for. Food Runners/Expo employees are tasked with efficiently running food to guests, ensuring orders are packed correctly for takeout, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Expo Station and Takeout Packing Stations according to the restaurant’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role requires someone with a friendly, energetic personality who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates should possess a positive and professional attitude, be capable of standing for long periods, and have a flexible schedule to meet the dynamic demands of the restaurant business.
Compensation for this role includes a competitive base pay rate of $16.30 per hour, coupled with estimated tips ranging between $9.25 and $10.50 per hour, not including other potential bonuses or benefits. Din Tai Fung also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including employer contributions to medical insurance for the employee and their eligible dependents, dental, vision, life insurance, and participation in a 401(k) plan with company match.
