We are currently seeking a full-time Dining Room Assistant to join our Food and Beverage team. This role is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of service that the Source Hotel is known for. As a Food Runner / Busser, you will be the vital link between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring that each dining experience runs smoothly and meets our exacting quality standards. Responsibilities include preparing the dining area for service, supporting the servers and bartenders during peak periods, and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere by attending to guests with attentiveness and care. The ideal candidate will be fluent with menu knowledge, capable of suggestive selling, and able to communicate effectively with both the culinary team and guests. This position requires punctuality, a professional appearance, and a positive attitude at all times. The role demands multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of food safety regulations and hotel policies. The Dining Room Assistant will assist with maintaining clean and organized work and dining areas, manage guest table needs, facilitate takeout and room service orders, and ensure compliance with all food and beverage regulations including responsible alcohol service. • At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to obtain Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate within 30 days of hire
• Reliable and punctual attendance
• Ability to communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers
• Ability to give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to visually inspect all work areas and food service
• Ability to analyze and solve problems and efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
