We are currently seeking a full-time Flight Path Support Specialist at our Scottsdale, AZ location. This role is vital for ensuring the safety and efficiency of aviation operations by focusing on the collection and analysis of aeronautical data. The Flight Path Support Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and implementing safety-critical changes into a worldwide airport database that supports real-time aircraft performance calculations. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong aviation background who are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
The specialist will handle complex data sets that impact aircraft payload and runway safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborating with various stakeholders from technical teams to aviation authorities. Responsibilities include conducting runway analyses, validating emergency procedures for multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft, and reviewing changes in airport and runway characteristics using different validated sources like NOTAMs and AIPs. The role also involves customer interaction and support, where effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
The Flight Path Support Specialist must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially those related to data analysis and Windows operating systems, and must be able to quickly learn new software. This position requires flexibility to work overtime, holidays, weekends, shifts, or on-call as needed to meet operational demands. - Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aeronautical science, or a relevant aviation discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule
- Willingness to work overtime, holiday, weekend, shift, and/or on-call work
- Proficiency with PC applications and Windows operating system
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work proactively and prioritize tasks
