Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a key division of The Boeing Company, is currently seeking experienced and senior Flight Line Group Coordinators (Level C and Level D) to support the 787 Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position operates on a variable shift schedule and plays a critical role in supporting field operations to ensure production efficiency, safety, and product quality are optimized consistently.
The role of Flight Line Group Coordinator involves coordinating pre-shift planning, conducting crew meetings, providing team status updates, facilitating training, and driving process improvements through Lean and Boeing Production System (BPS) methodologies. Key responsibilities also include managing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure workplace safety around hazardous energy control, supervising production schedules, and collaborating cross-functionally to identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement.
This position is pivotal in creating and nurturing a culture that enhances team productivity while maintaining a strong focus on safety. The selected candidate will coordinate closely with leads and managers to manage the execution and critical production paths, overseeing hazardous energy work and ensuring accurate inventory and use of LOTO tools and kits. The coordinator also manages end-of-shift handoffs and abnormal circumstance responses, ensuring the entire team complies with stringent safety and operational protocols.
The Flight Line Group Coordinator will verify that aircraft power is safely provided and all mechanics comply with active LOTO procedures. Acting as a Primary Authorized Employee (PAE) for LOTO tasks when necessary, this position demands strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate between Functional Test SMEs, manufacturing engineering teams, and production staff. This role requires 100% onsite presence at the North Charleston facility, providing direct support on the production floor.
Candidates for this role must be prepared to work variable shifts and overtime as needed, contributing to seamless operations around the clock. Boeing offers competitive compensation reflecting experience and qualifications, with Level C pay ranges from $61,200 to $64,500 and Level D earning between $72,000 and $76,000.
