The position of Flight Controller - Managed Fleet at Airshare is a critical role that demands precision, accountability, and adherence to both company policies and regulatory requirements. Located onsite in Shelton, Connecticut, the Flight Controller will operate on a schedule of four days on and four days off, with 12-hour shifts. This role is responsible for the daily coordination and execution of flight schedules ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), company procedures, and international aviation standards. The Flight Controller holds operational control of all flight activity within the managed fleet, ensuring safety, legality, and efficiency of each flight segment. This requires close coordination with various departments including Client Services, Crew Scheduling, Revenue Management, and Maintenance, to ensure all operational restrictions and requirements such as customs, immigration, and weather conditions are thoroughly managed. As a Flight Controller, you will be deeply knowledgeable about Airshare’s Flight Control Operations Manual, Flight Operations Manual, FAA and international regulations, and company-specific policies. You will play an integral role in flight locating, managing operational notices, and facilitating smooth communication between all stakeholders involved. While an FAA Dispatch License is preferred, it is not mandatory, but a strong understanding of aviation operations and regulations is essential. The position also requires working flexible hours including weekends and holidays, given Airshare’s 24/7 operational nature.
