The role available is a Part-Time Group Fitness Instructor position based in the Wellness Center at Southpark under the 05724 GCMG Concierge Care Department. This role is designed for individuals passionate about leading group fitness classes safely and effectively while fostering membership engagement through well-planned programming. Group Fitness Instructors provide instruction in styles such as yoga, Pilates, step, and others, depending on facility needs and management direction. Instructors must manage movement techniques during classes, ensure participant safety, and comply with certification requirements for teaching and class design. The role offers an hourly pay range of $22.50 to $33.75 for six hours per week and does not include eligibility for benefits. Responsibilities include operating stereo and microphone systems, maintaining regular communication with group fitness coordinators via email and scheduling platforms like GroupExPro, recruiting new members, managing class growth, and submitting monthly volume and instruction reports. Instructors participate in group meetings and continuing education to keep certifications current and improve their teaching capabilities. The position demands strong interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work in varied environments, including gyms and wellness centers.   • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Nationally recognized group fitness certification or equivalent with Group Fitness Supervisor approval
  • Current CPR certification required from AHA
  • One year of certification-based experience or ongoing mentorship with group fitness supervisor preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate and lead exercise movements
  • Completion of mandatory hospital and departmental training
  • Ability to work in wellness center and gym environments
  • Ability to utilize precautions against infectious diseases
  • Physical ability to lift 25-60 pounds and perform various physical movements
