This full-time position offers an hourly starting wage of $22, with additional opportunities for hourly bonuses, weekly pay, and reimbursements such as hotel expenses, a living allowance, a contract-specific pay increase, and an untaxed vehicle usage reimbursement of $4-$5 per hour. The role involves extensive fieldwork primarily outdoors, which suits individuals who enjoy working independently and physically active roles. Field Data Technicians play a vital role in supporting fiber optic cable licensing, engineering, and design projects by capturing accurate and detailed technical data on electric utility and telecommunication infrastructure. The Field Data Technician will be hiking between utility poles in various outdoor environments to measure attachment heights, span distances, and angles, among other technical parameters. This data collection is critical to outside plant engineering and fiber-optic network construction. The position requires the technician to operate and maintain equipment such as tablet computers, digital cameras, measuring instruments, and personal protective equipment, ensuring that work is performed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. Strong communication skills are required to coordinate and report findings daily with the project management team. This role demands a flexible and resilient individual capable of routine overnight travel typically lasting one to two weeks, with most weekends at home. Occasionally, out-of-state assignments may require longer stays of up to a month.   • Minimum 1 year of outdoor work-related experience
  • Minimum 1 year working in a role that required following a safety program or safety protocols

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Must have reliable transportation
