We are currently seeking a Senior Clinical Therapist to join the Behavioral Health Services Line (BHSL) at the UAMS Northwest Outpatient Clinic located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This regular, full-time clinical staff position offers a dynamic work schedule providing services primarily during standard office hours, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health care. The Senior Clinical Therapist role is vital to our mental health team, providing comprehensive clinical services, including diagnostic assessments, individual, family, and group therapy, along with crisis interventions. Therapists will work closely within a multidisciplinary team and report to clinical supervisors or program managers to ensure effective treatment planning and quality patient care.
The position supports flexible treatment modalities including in-office and remote care when applicable, which enhances accessibility for a diverse patient population. Candidates will be expected to use advanced technological skills for documentation and communication, ensuring compliance with clinical policies and procedures. The role encompasses responsibilities that require a deep understanding of mental health diagnoses and strong commitment to ongoing professional development and licensure maintenance.
This position requires a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field along with a current and valid Arkansas license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Preferred qualifications include at least one year of direct clinical outpatient behavioral health experience and expertise in maternal women’s mental health. The role demands effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and a dedication to providing culturally competent care within a diverse population.
The Senior Clinical Therapist will conduct evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, maintain clinical documentation, participate in staff meetings and trainings, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery. - Master's degree in social work counseling psychology or related field
