The role we are hiring for is a Cook position located at 1787 W Pleasant Grove Road. This is an hourly paid position, offering competitive compensation ranging from $15.00 to $17.50 per hour, with flexible scheduling to accommodate varying availability. As a Cook at Big Whiskey's, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing a wide variety of meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products. This includes cooking using various methods such as broiling, grilling, baking, frying, and sautéing. In addition to cooking, you will prepare and portion food products prior to cooking according to standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality. Your responsibilities will also extend to the final preparation of plates, including garnishing and ensuring every dish meets the restaurant’s presentation standards. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation is essential, including proper handling and storage of all food items and adherence to food safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods, and committed to upholding the high standards of quality for which Big Whiskey's is known. Duties also include assisting in food prep during slower periods, closing kitchen procedures, and participating in team meetings to foster continuous improvement.
