The role of Houseperson at Hilton focuses on supporting the hotel’s efforts to maintain cleanliness and outstanding guest service. This part-time or full-time position is vital in ensuring that designated areas of the hotel—including restrooms, public areas, offices, banquet, meeting and conference rooms—are kept impeccably clean and well-maintained. The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning duties such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, waxing floors, and disposing of trash. Additionally, the Houseperson greets guests in a friendly manner and responds promptly to guest requests, enhancing their overall hotel experience.
Beyond routine cleaning, this position involves reporting maintenance deficiencies so that issues can be addressed swiftly, stocking and maintaining supplies, and taking on deep cleaning tasks and special projects like mattress flipping and furniture moves. The Houseperson may also assist with cleaning guest rooms and delivering guest requests when needed.
