This includes supervising stewarding associates and overseeing all facets of stewarding operations—from recruitment and training to managing inventory and scheduling. The Executive Steward works closely with the culinary and banquet teams to coordinate daily activities and ensure seamless service delivery, avoiding shortages or excess inventory. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining ware washing equipment and implementing the kitchen recycling program to support sustainability initiatives. Additionally, the Executive Steward is entrusted with enforcing compliance with hotel policies and human resource procedures, maintaining labor costs within budget, and fostering effective communication through departmental meetings. • high school diploma or equivalent
• minimum five years of stewarding leadership experience preferred
• knowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost control measures
• excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• ability to adapt to new operating systems and technology
• ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly
• ability to push and pull carts up to 200 pounds
• capacity to stand and be mobile for extended periods during shifts
