The Executive Sous Chef 2 role at Parkhurst Dining offers an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive management team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this position serves as the second-in-command within the kitchen, overseeing operations and leading culinary efforts at sites where annual volume ranges between $3.5 million and $10 million. The Executive Sous Chef 2 acts as both a leader and a hands-on contributor, managing a pivotal cost center and stepping in as the primary kitchen leader in the Executive Chef's absence. Responsibilities include supervising meal preparation to ensure quality and consistency, maintaining food inventory, adjusting production based on ingredient availability, and leading hourly kitchen team members daily.
Beyond operational oversight, the Executive Sous Chef 2 plays an integral role in menu development by collaborating to craft dishes that delight guests and align with Parkhurst Gold Standards. The position also involves monitoring supplies and managing ordering processes to control costs effectively. Staffing coordination, staff training, and professional development are essential components, fostering a positive and inclusive kitchen culture where team members can thrive. This full-time position averages 50 hours per week and includes some evening and weekend shifts.
