The Pastry Chef Manager role at this distinguished property is a full-time management position dedicated to the overall success of the daily pastry operations. This role is integral to maintaining the quality and consistency associated with the Ritz-Carlton brand's culinary offerings. The Pastry Chef Manager is not only responsible for leading a skilled team in producing high-quality pastries across all dining venues within the resort but also for being an exemplary figure demonstrating creative baking and decorating talents personally. By setting the operational standards, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations, this position plays a critical role in enhancing both guest and employee satisfaction. This management role includes overseeing all pastry food preparation areas, supervising staff, and fostering a collaborative and motivating team culture. The Pastry Chef Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the pastry department meets and exceeds performance goals, such as culinary excellence, financial targets, and guest service standards. They are also tasked with menu development support, quality control, training, and disciplinary actions where necessary. Additionally, this role requires engagement in community and customer-facing activities like facilitating pastry classes and representing the property at media events. The salary for this position ranges from $114,000 to $161,000 annually and includes eligibility for a bonus program.   • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • ability to supervise and manage a pastry team
