The role of Executive Chef at Papi Steak Las Vegas is a senior leadership position that demands a high level of skill, experience, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The Executive Chef will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards in food quality, safety, presentation, and timely service. This role is critical in setting the tone for kitchen culture while managing the back-of-house (BOH) team and resources effectively. The Executive Chef is responsible not just for food preparation but also for budget management, staff supervision, menu innovation, and adherence to company and health standards. Working in this role means direct involvement with every aspect of kitchen operations including managing food and labor costs against budgets, approving new hires, developing menus and recipes, and monitoring the quality and consistency of dishes served. This position requires rigorous attention to detail, a strategic approach to inventory and procurement, and the ability to maintain the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards within the kitchen environment. An important part of the role also includes conducting regular staff performance reviews, mentoring, and training, as well as collaborating with purchasing and front-of-house management to ensure seamless restaurant operation. Due to the nature of the restaurant business at Papi Steak, the Executive Chef must be available to work during weekends and holidays, reflecting the commitment required to lead a successful culinary team.   • Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Computer literacy including Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Ability to produce recipes within corporate specifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend spreadsheets and P&L statements
  • Ability to calculate, analyze, and troubleshoot P&L including food costs, labor costs, and budgets
  • Expertise in all kitchen positions
  • Working knowledge of POS systems
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for 90% of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
