We are currently seeking an Executive Chef for a dinner-only role with hours allowing for a balanced lifestyle, as the kitchen operates only in the evenings and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-$80,000 per year plus a $5,000 annual bonus paid quarterly. The role demands leadership of two kitchens with creative freedom to design seasonal menus reflecting our commitment to innovative and inclusive cuisine. As our Executive Chef, you will oversee all BOH (back of house) operations including menu creation, inventory control, food costing, and vendor management meticulously. Recruitment, training, and motivation of staff is pivotal, alongside maintaining a calm, dependable presence in a fast-paced environment. This role suits a chef with at least 5 years of experience working in BOH operations and 2 years of experience in a chef or kitchen management role. Food safety certification is preferred, highlighting our emphasis on maintaining industry standards. Physical stamina is required to stand for extended periods and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. The schedule is set for five days a week, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with dinner service running until approximately 8-10 pm, ensuring no late-night shifts.
