The Phoenix Convention Center is currently looking to expand its team by hiring two dedicated Events Coordinators. This position is instrumental in facilitating and coordinating all event-related activities across the center’s diverse calendar. Events Coordinators serve as the key liaison between the clients, contractors, and internal departments, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed from the initial planning stages through to event execution. Responsibilities include explaining the policies and procedures governing the use of the center’s facilities, advising clients and their contractors on setup options and necessary materials to achieve their event goals, and preparing thorough checklists of requirements for internal departments such as sales, event services, electrical, and accounting. The role also involves managing event information through a sophisticated computerized event management system to input, retrieve, update setup data, and generate comprehensive event reports. The ideal candidates for this role are self-motivated individuals who have a passion for event coordination and a proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.   • Two years of experience in coordinating a variety of events and activities at a convention center, theater, hotel, or other large public use facility
  • Including one year at a supervisory or lead level
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, theater, facility management or a related field

  • Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings will be required
