The Events Coordinator role is situated within Ogletree Deakins' Client Services department and offers an exciting opportunity to support the firm's national client-facing and internal events. This full-time position focuses on assisting the events team with comprehensive event planning, coordination, and execution responsibilities. The role involves managing all aspects of firm-hosted and sponsored events including client seminars and internal firm gatherings, with particular attention to detail and strategic planning. Key functions include venue coordination, food and beverage arrangements, audio/visual requirements, hotel booking, and organizing speakers and materials. The Events Coordinator will also collaborate extensively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event operations.
This role requires strong organizational capabilities to maintain updated event calendars, oversee registrations, draft event communications, and ensure adherence to project deadlines and budgets. Utilizing event management software, the coordinator will serve as a primary contact and resource for national programs, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Marketing efforts to promote events effectively to intended audiences and brand consistency throughout events are also central to this role. Additionally, the coordinator will collect and analyze attendee feedback to inform event debriefs and post-event evaluations.
Beyond event-specific responsibilities, the Events Coordinator may assist with administrative tasks such as managing continuing education credits, webinars, and promotional initiatives. This position provides a dynamic work environment where multi-tasking and collaboration are essential. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of corporate event experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and preferably familiarity with Cvent or similar event software. Strong written communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders are critical for success. Travel to firm events and site visits will occasionally be required, making flexibility important. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in a communications or marketing-related field
- 2+ years corporate events experience preferred

- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Cvent or other event registration software a plus
