The role of Events Coordinator 1 within the College of Engineering is pivotal to the college's mission of engaging prospective students, current students, alumni, as well as corporate and community partners. As part of the Undergraduate Studies team, this full-time position at the University of Toledo’s Main Campus in Toledo, OH, offers a starting salary beginning at $18.07 per hour and entails a standard daytime shift with some requirements for weekend and evening availability. The coordinator will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of college events designed to attract and retain talented students and foster strong relationships within the college community and beyond.
This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and possesses creative problem-solving skills. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing logistics for large-scale and smaller events, overseeing event marketing activities, and supporting day-to-day operations within the college. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential for this role to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed. As the liaison for event planning and coordination, the coordinator will connect across departments and with external partners, emphasizing adaptability and strong organizational abilities. The successful candidate should have foundational experience with Microsoft Office applications and event planning, at least one year of administrative or office experience, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
