This part-time position as an Event Service Specialist at The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa is a non-management role situated on-site and focuses on providing exceptional support in the food and beverage and culinary events category. The role goes beyond simple tasks like setting up tables and chairs for banquets or meetings. It plays an instrumental part in creating a unique and memorable atmosphere for guests during events. The Event Service Specialist proactively delivers a wide range of services, including setting up and breaking down materials, transporting supplies, restocking bars and action stations, and collaborating closely with other team members to ensure flawless event execution. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for long periods, and handling various objects with proper care. Lifting items weighing under 50 pounds independently and those over 75 pounds with assistance is an integral part of the responsibilities.
