The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is currently seeking a part-time or on-call Banquet/Event Set Up Specialist to join its dynamic team. The schedule requires flexibility, encompassing days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as event bookings may vary. The specialist will be responsible for tasks that include setting up audiovisual equipment, arranging coffee breaks and refreshments, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of function spaces, and maintaining supplies such as glassware and linens. A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently under limited supervision are critical for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience or training in banquet or event setup, demonstrated proficiency with AV technology, and the capability to communicate effectively in upper-intermediate English. Responsibilities also extend to inventory management, troubleshooting minor event issues, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards within the function areas.   • High school diploma or general degree (GED)
  • One to three months of related experience or training
  • Ability to speak level 2 - upper intermediate English

  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
